TRAVEL/LOCATION/MAPS

The LMS Regional Meeting and Workshop will take place at the

School of Mathematical Sciences at the University of Nottingham;

the school is located on the University Park Campus,

close to the North Entrance.

Here is a campus map; the school is labeled 22.

Most participants will stay in the Waltons or in the Innkeeper’s.

Both are within walking distance from the campus;

this is how to get from the Innkeeper’s to the school

and from the Waltons to the school.

Relevant airports are:

East Midlands Airport (EMA); appr. 25min by taxi 

Birmingham International (BHX); appr. 55min by taxi or 2h by train

London Luton (LTN); appr. 2h by train

London Stansted (STN); appr. 3h by train

London Heathrow (LHR); appr. 3h by train

Taxis from/to airports should be prebooked, e.g. here.

The relevant train station is Nottingham Station.

From here it is best to take a taxi; fares to the hotels

or the University are appr. between £7 and £10.

COMPUTING

If you have a laptop, on campus you can use the wireless network UoN-guest;

open a browser, enter a valid e-mail address and accept terms and conditions.

You can also use eduroam.

Alternatively, we can provide you with guest logins to access local machines.
